Picking a color for stained concrete flooring is one of those decisions that feels way harder than it should be. Paint chips and online swatches only get you so far. The lighting in your home is different, the concrete itself reacts differently than a sample board, and once the floor is done - it's done. That's a lot riding on a guess.
So we do something better. We apply actual color samples directly onto your concrete slab, in spots that will be hidden once your appliances are back in place. Under the fridge, under the stove, under the dishwasher. Real stain, real finish, on your actual floor. No guessing. No surprises.
What you end up with is a side-by-side comparison you can live with for a day or two. Walk past it in the morning light. Check it in the evening. See how it looks next to your cabinets and countertops. That kind of real-world testing is the only way to know for sure before we coat the entire floor.
We labeled each sample panel so there's no confusion about which color is which when it comes time to make a call. Two distinct shades side by side, masked off cleanly with kraft paper and tape to keep the rest of the floor protected. It's a simple step that takes the pressure completely off the decision.
This is just how we work. Stained concrete is a permanent finish, and we want you confident before we ever start the full application. The sample process costs you nothing extra in stress - and it makes the whole job go smoother for everyone.
