Aqua-Tots is a busy place. Kids coming in wet, parents moving through the lobby, staff on their feet all day - the floor takes a beating. That kind of environment needs more than something that just looks good. It needs a surface that can actually hold up.
We installed flake epoxy flooring throughout the facility, covering the lobby, hallways, and common areas. The blue and gray flake blend ties in naturally with the brand's color scheme, but the real story is what's underneath the surface - a durable, commercial-grade coating built to handle constant foot traffic, moisture, and the general chaos of a high-volume kids' facility.
One detail we're particular about on jobs like this is the cove base. Instead of leaving a hard 90-degree angle where the floor meets the wall, we run the epoxy up the base of the wall in a curved transition. That curved edge means no gap, no dirt trap, no place for moisture to sneak in. For a facility that deals with wet foot traffic daily, that's not just a cosmetic choice - it's a practical one that makes cleaning faster and keeps the space looking sharp longer.
Spaces like this don't get a break. The floor needs to stay consistent whether it's a slow Tuesday morning or a packed Saturday with back-to-back classes. Flake epoxy handles that well. It's non-porous, easy to mop down, and the flake texture adds just enough grip underfoot without feeling rough. It's a flooring system that works as hard as the staff does.
The finished result is clean, consistent, and built for the long haul. When the details are done right from the start, the space just works better - and that's exactly what we were going for here.
